The star of our Christmas gift guide is possibly the most fabulous Peppa Pig house that ever was, and I should know because with two avid Peppa fans we’ve been through a few of the famous piggy’s houses! This is the PEPPA PIG LIGHTS & SOUNDS FAMILY HOME (RRP $149).
Peppa and George are included with the house, as is Zoe Zebra, but with 7 rooms across the four storey house it’s time to get all your Peppa characters together for a housewarming partay! We were beyond excited to assemble our figures and take our brand new abode from show-home to truly lived-in!
The perfect toy to spark their imagination…
Each room of this fabulous house comes with some exciting interactive feature, which really encourages children to delve into the depths of their imaginations and step into the world of Peppa and her friends.
The moment my 3yo laid eyes on this house he was raring to get stuck into what its many components had to offer. Geared to children aged 3 and over, mainly due to the inclusion of small pieces, this house stands at 22 inches tall which offers kids the perfect vantage point to play with it either balanced on a shelf as we have it set up or on the floor.
The fact that each room has a different interactive feature is what makes this house so exciting to play with and breathes life into the adventures of everyone’s favourite pig, her family and friends. Not least the flower button next to the muddy puddle and doormat on arrival into the house, which when pressed, both emit a series of familiar phrases and sounds from the TV show. Pressing the flower button also switches on the light in the living room!
And yes, it wouldn’t be Peppa Pig’s house without the inclusion of a muddy puddle which is in fact soft and rubbery and perfect for jumping up and down in!
From the real reflection in Mummy Pig’s vanity to a toilet seat which actually flips up and down and a fridge door which opens to reveal Peppa and George’s favourite food; there is something to discover in every room.
Peppa and George’s famous bunkbed is possibly one of my favourite features of the house. Incredibly versatile, you can either allow it to retain its bunk-tionality or break it apart into two single beds. Even cooler, George’s bunk has a dinosaur-theme bedspread to celebrate his longtime pal Mr Dinosaur.
Find Zoe Zebra in the attic looking through Grandpa Pig’s telescope. The attic door opens outwards of the roof to allow the telescope, which has fully range of adjustable movement, to be extended out of the roof. My space-enthusiast son is in love with this feature as it allows him to live vicariously through the little figures as he plays out various star-gazing scenarios with his big sister, Denny (6yo).
Moving down to the next room, pull down the attic stairs down to descend into the office where you’ll find Peppa enjoying a round of Happy Mrs Chicken on the family computer. The attic stairs are easily stowed once more by folding them and clipping them back into place.
My second favourite moving part is the office chair, which has real wheels on the bottom to allow it to roll around the room like a real office chair!! My writer-self was in heaven upon discovering that feature!!
I don’t know about your children but mine will spend hours up in their room making up stories and situations of their own imaginings. I have found that their shared love of Peppa Pig and the world within she exists has sparked a whole new realm of play thanks to the addition of this new Peppa family home.
The Peppa Pig Lights & Sounds Family Home (RRP $149) is available from Big W, Myer and Independent retailers.
From all of us at ThreeLittleHines, have a very Peppa Christmas!
