It’s beginning to look a lot like a PK Christmas…
It should come as no surprise that my children’s solemate is featuring on our Christmas gift guide because this festive time of year would not be complete without a pair of PK’s underneath the tree (or beside the channukiah)!
Kate and Zara, the fabulous team behind Paperkrane, never fail to deliver with each collection of bendy, barefoot inspired booties they create and Christmas 2018 is typically epic. Prices range from $45-49 for the smallest SOFTI size (EU 17-18) to $55-59 for the MIDI style (EU 19-23) and $65-69 for the FLEXI range which goes from EU size 22-30. I’ve borrowed the PK sizing instructions (below) to help you ensure you’re buying the correct size for your little.
CHOOSING THE RIGHT SIZE FOR YOUR CHILD.
It is best to find the size you need using the length measurements on the chart, even though we use standard sizing, we find sizes can vary greatly between shoe brands.
1. Measure your child's foot. (have them stand on a ruler, or draw around their foot and measure between the centre of the heel to the tip of the longest toe.)
2. Add 1cm to that length.
3. Check the size chart for the size that measurement fits inside. (when in doubt - go up, not down)
For example; a child's foot measures 150mm, you add 1cm (1cm is = to 10mm) that takes your measurement to 160mm, using this example, you could squeeze into a 25, but a size 26 would be best for you as kids grow quickly. (Our shoes are not like other kids shoes out there! They are super lightweight and flexible, so a few extra mms is no problem)

So, that is the fabulous foursome coming to the internet near you next week!! We got to enjoy a sneak peek and preview of the Rouge and Moss styles and it’s safe to say, we are in PK love!! With three lace-up styles in the Christmas collection, I just want to add a reminder that the laces are purely decorative so don’t feel inclined to start tying them up on your little.
The great thing about the lace-up PK’s is you can stretch them out using the laces to loosen them to get onto your littles’ feet.
