Our family has a history of positive experiences with the wonderful products from LeapFrog ANZ. They are engaging, well thought-out and constantly evolving. With three young children whose minds are continually developing and yearning for stimulation, LeapFrog offers a veritable cave of educational wonders perfect for every age.
One of our favourite products is the LeapStart 3D interactive learning system (RRP $89.95). Available as a bundle with two bonus books: Shapes & Colours with Creativity, and 200 Words in English & French, the LeapStart is an accessible and easy to use piece of hardware. With a simple set up via a parent’s computer, it is a matter of minutes before the system is ready to be used.
This particular version is targeted at kids of preschool and school starter age, so my 5 and almost 3 year old are taking it in turns to be master of the stylus pen to navigate the world of shapes and foreign language. The pen itself is a learning element, designed to help youngsters fine-tune gross motor skills to encourage proper grasp for learning to write.
The system stylus reads invisible dots on every page, triggering holographic animations along with questions, challenges, songs, jokes and more.
Having a learning tool that my children are so eager to use is a huge plus point for me as a parent. From the pop-up holographic screen to the 600+ activities which range from learning to read and basic mathematics to problem solving and plenty of opportunities to nurture important life skills; the common denominator is ultimately fun!
I cannot wait to expand our collection of companion books and continue our family’s learning adventure with LeapFrog.
For preschoolers aged 2-7 years, the LeapStart 3D with 2 books bundle is available at Big W and Target for a limited time.
