Easter is Coming
Easter bunny and girl

Easter is coming and with it the annual egg hunt trail at Centennial Park. Into its ninth year, The Great CP Egg Hunt falls on Easter weekend with sessions on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 April. Encouraging children and their adults to participate in themed activities in the beautiful outdoors, the Egg Hunt is one of our favourite events of the year.

We have been going for the past few years, both to the trail at Centennial Park as well as The Great Garden Egg Hunt which is on at the Royal Botanic Gardens on the same weekend. From egg and spoon races to croquet, egg hunting, sack races and a meet and greet with the Easter Bunny, every year surprises us with something unique for a seriously fun day out.

This year’s Great CP Egg Hunt will take you on a cultural journey around the world as the egg-cellent obstacle course set up will give children the opportunity to interact and learn about the various Easter customs that occur in countries like England, Greece and Germany. Following the Easter Bunny’s trail map, kids will get a flavour of how their peers from different cultures celebrate Eastertime.

As always, your Egg Hunt tickets treat you not only to one of three fantastic nature-inspired activity trails, depending on which location you opt to visit, but most importantly once you hand your stamped map in at the end your littles get to take home their very own Cadbury Dairy Milk Easter egg.

In addition to the Easter fun happening at Centennial Park and the Botanic Gardens, the Australian Botanic Garden Mount Annan in Western Sydney puts on its own Easter fare on Monday 22 April with The Great ABG Egg Hunt, craft markets, food carts, Aussie animals and a nature-inspired Easter bonnet parade.

Tickets to all three events are now on sale and families are encouraged to book in early to secure their preferred time-slot.
